SHOPPING MALL

The term “mall” originally meant a place where people played pall-mall, a game similar to croquet. By the mid 1700s it had come to mean a tree-lined park where people went to walk and socialize.

A shopping mall (or simply mall) is a large indoor shopping center, usually anchored by department stores.  There have been major changes in the way our malls are designed, programmed and anchored with a move towards a more dynamic space that takes advantage of strategic retail and hospitality master planning, allows for an experiential visit and remains relevant as a place for people to come, enjoy and shop.

The benefits of advertising in shopping malls:
If you have a store in the mall, advertising it on mall directories or a table top in the food court is a great way to reach your target audience. Digital signage in shopping centers can have a higher recall rate than social media ads.

Mall advertising is highly effective. Our data shows that 78.9% of shoppers notice the illuminated and digital ads throughout the mall. Additionally, 77% of teens, who spend the most time in the mall, responded positively to in-mall advertising, saying that it makes them want to go to specific stores.
